Comptroller Lembo and A&R Announce piloting a training program for certain modules in CORE-CT

Comptroller Kevin Lembo and Joe Piechta, President of the Administrative and Residual Employees Union (A&R) announced they are piloting a training program for certain modules in CORE-CT.

This collaborative effort will provide training to state employees at no cost to the State. Comptroller Lembo said: “President Piechta made me aware that A&R employees have been looking for training in the CORE-CT program. He was concerned that while the Department of Administrative Services was stating that A&R employees were on the certified Exam list for job vacancies, state agencies were adding additional requirements that employees be proficient in certain training modules.  This was preventing qualified A&R members from advancing in their careers.”

The goal is to allow for State employees to complete the CORE-CT training from the comfort of their own home.  The Office of the State Comptroller will be working with the Department of Administrative Services to identify  comprehensive and meaningful ways for developing needed CORE-CT skills and knowledge within our workforce.

Please continue to watch the A&R website for more information as it becomes available.
