A&R has created a spot on our webpage for layoff information...it is under "Resources | Layoff Info"

At this point, A&R is only aware of 19 layoff notices:
     1 Accountant
     1 Accts Examiner
     5 ACTs - Accts Examiners
     1 Associate Accts Examiner
     1 CCT - Planning Analyst
     2 Consumer Information Reps
     2 Lead Planning Analysts
     1 Legislative & Regulatory Analyst
     1 Librarian
     1 Research Analyst
     1 Special Investigator
     1 Supervising Accts Examiner
     1 Tourism Program Assistant

Agencies are placing all "noticed" employees on Paid Administrative Leave.  This DOES NOT change any bumping rights available to the employees and this is NOT a disciplinary action.  If bumping rights are available then the agency will notify the employee within the next few weeks.   Many of the noticed employees do have bumping/displacement rights.

The Governor released a revised budget on Tuesday 4/12 which included more cuts to agencies.  Two noteable items in his revised budget:

  1. All anticipated wage increases were removed (except for State Police)
  2. Non-union employees will be asked to pay 20% of their health care premiums (generally, we currently pay a little more than 15% for family coverage plans).  It is not clear how this recommendation would be implemented, but it seems obvious that the Governor would eventually expect union employees to do the same.
