For our members who are currently paying half percent to the Retiree Health Care Trust Fund, as part of the 2011 SEBAC agreement members will see a one and half percent increase in their payments to the fund starting the first day of the pay period following July 1, 2014.
As part of the negotiations in the 2011 SEBAC agreement, employees who were not already paying into the Retiree Health Care Trust Fund would begin to contribute 3% to the fund in phases. The first payments began on July 1, 2013 at 1/2%. Starting with the first pay period after July 1, 2014 the payments increase to 2% (a one and half percent increase) and starting with the pay period after July 1, 2015 the total payment increases to 3%. Members will pay the contribution for 10 years or Retirement (whichever is sooner).
