2025 Scholarship Applications

Every year, A&R awards scholarships to qualifying children of A&R/AFT Local 4200 members or children of former A&R members who are now members of the A&R Retiree Chapter.

Ten scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will go to 2025 high school graduates or seniors who have been accepted to and will be entering a post-secondary educational institution.  These are one-time only awards.

Five awards in the amount of $1,500 each will go to post secondary students who are continuing their education.  The continuing student awards are also one-time only, but the recipient may previously have received an entering student A&R scholarship.

One of the applicants will receive a $2,500 Harry Zilber Scholarship Award presented in recognition of community service activities.  The name of the Zilber Award winner is displayed at the A&R Headquarters on a commemorative plaque.

One of the applicants will receive a $2,500 Mike Winkler Scholarship in honor of our former A&R President & Vice President who served as an A&R officer from 1999-2013

If you have a qualifying child who is continuing their education and wishes to apply for a scholarship, please complete the application and return it to the A&R Office by the March 28, 2025  deadline.

A&R Union - Employee Request For Transfer Form

The A&R Union office maintains the “swap” list (this
is not the DAS transfer list), so contact the A&R office if you wish to be considered for “swaps”.  Click HERE for the form.
Here are some of the highlights and requirements:

- If you swap with another employee, it has to bewith someone in your exact job title...your salary and step will stay the same. You cannot swap to ahigher, lower or comparable job title;

- Once a swap is complete, you cannot return to
your prior agency; a swap is final;

- No vacancies will be used — it’s just a switch of employees between two agencies in the same job title;

- Full disclosure to the involved agencies will be made of personnel and disciplinary records and an agency’s denial of a swap cannot be grieved.
