DRS Atmosphere Questionnaire

Over 400 A&R members work at the Department of Revenue Services.  DRS is one of the largest agencies at which A&R members work.  Their work is both challenging and an important public service.  Based on countless conversations we have had with members, we are aware that the workplace environment at DRS is neither healthy nor conducive to high morale.  This has been especially true in recent years from all levels of the agency.   A&R has been responding to many common themes including rampant favoritism, lack of respect in the workplace, an uncaring/unresponsive senior management team, and, not surprisingly, low morale among the DRS staff.

A&R has addressed several issues via the grievance process, however, in general, grievances have not brought about a sea change in management style.  In our opinion, the management style is the driving factor determining morale, harmony in the workplace, and even productivity.

With these thoughts in mind, we want members to know that we have extended an invitation to the incoming senior management team to discuss with them our  concerns regarding the working atmosphere at DRS.   We recognize the general sentiment of members at DRS, but we would like to survey DRS members (survey has been cut-off with 100 responses submitted 5/21/18) directly and present specific interests and specific concerns to the incoming management team.   This is an opportunity for the agency to foster an improved atmosphere and restore pride.

All A&R DRS employees who have specific complaints or solutions are asked to complete the quick survey....all responses will be kept private and will not be shared directly with management.
