Help Elect Pro-Worker Candidates

The election clock is ticking down.  Many primary elections for municipal candidates are held in September.  Winners in the primary elections will go on to run in the November 3rd, 2015 Municipal Elections.  Are you interested in running for a municipal office in your town?  Maybe you know of another Union member thinking about running for office?  If this is the case, please call the A&R Union office at 860-953-1316, and be put in touch with the A&R COPE PAC Committee.  COPE PAC is the Committee On Political Education Political Action Committee for our union.

With the help of our A&R COPE PAC Committee, pro-worker candidates will be identified for our members.  We can all help elect candidates who support public services, fair contracts, affordable health care and secure retirement. Candidates asking for the A&R endorsement will need to complete a questionnaire from the COPE PAC Committee.

Only candidates who complete a questionnaire will have the chance to meet with the A&R COPE PAC Committee to see where the candidates stand on pro worker issues.

Contact the Union office today about the A&R candidate endorsement process.
