At the 2/16 meeting of the State Bond Commission, all items before the commission were given a favorable vote, including the vote on funding for Kronos (the State Time Management System). This isn't the last time you will see this issue. This is clearly a waste of resources that many legislators are just not aware is occuring. So we will continue to inform legislators about this foolishness...in the meantime, this system will start to be rolled out at various agencies.
If you wish to keep your legislator educated and focused on an issue, the easiest way is to talk to your legislator...the easiest way to do that, is to attend the AFT-CT regional "breakfasts". These are held at various coffee shops/restaurants around the State and attendees can sit around a lunch table with local legislators and chit-chat. Those who have attended in the past know that these are actually very comfortable group settings with no pressure or spotlight on anyone. Direct communication is the best way to get legislators engaged and aware. There are 2 breakfasts this coming weekend (2/24/18) and the rest of the schedule as well.
