Fellow A&R member, Steward and Representative Assembly Member, Michael Petosa was recognized at the CT AFL-CIO convention on September 27th for his leadership of the AFL-CIO Health and Safety Committee. Mike has served as the chairperson of the committee since 2001 and with his committee, achieved the CT AFT-CIO goal of establishing a permanent Workers Memorial in Bushnell Park to recognize those workers who lost their lives on the job. Mike has been our member employed with the Workers’ Compensation Commission for the past 26 years. Mike will be recognized by an annual award given in his name at the Workers’ Memorial Day ceremony to a person who demonstrates exemplary commitment to promoting health and safety.
