The State Employee Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC) and the State are currently in negotiations over the State Employee pension and healthcare agreement, which is scheduled to expire on June 30, 2027.

While negotiations are still in the early stages, the parties have exchanged proposals and continue to work through the issues. As is customary, the details of the proposals and any tentative agreements generally remain confidential while negotiations are ongoing so that the bargaining process can proceed without disruption.

The Annual A&R Picnic at LaBella Vista in Waterbury is set for Friday September 4 at 11:30AM - 4:00PM.  No need to use your own time, our contract grants 4hrs for either the union picnic or an agency picnic (use CORE-CT code LPRTY).  This event is basically burgers and "summer food" combined with free beer & wine.  We have games, music, and raffle prizes while you unwind in the warm September sun...however, the deadline to sign-up is Tuesday August 18 at noon!  Don't miss the deadline, we turn in our numbers to the venue Tuesday afternoon and we are therefore stuck with that count.  Register

The official A&R Wage Scales for 2025 & 2026 are now available (you can use these to calculate your backpay which will be incorporated into your August 21, 2026 paycheck).  These payscales include the lump sum payments for each year as well.

First:  All pay adjustments for the July 2025 2.5% GWI and the January 2026 Step Increases (including TopStepPayments) should be completed.  
Then, as of 6/26/2026, another 2.5% GWI was implemented and this will be reflected in your July 23rd paycheck.  
 The next increase thereafter will be the January Step Increases which will be effective 12/25/26 and reflected in your January 22, 2027 paycheck (including TopStepPayments).  We are still on track to receive our backpay in the August 21 paycheck.
