The Senate has passed our contract by a vote of 26 Yes, 10 No
All 25 Democratic Senators and 1 Republican Senator (Sen John Kissell of Enfield) voted in favor of the contract.

Later that Wednesday evening, the House passed our contract with a vote of 107 Yes, 42 No...All 101 Democrats voted in favor and 6 Republicans voted in favor.

This was the final step in a long journey!!  The pursuit of our successor agreement has concluded and we now have our new contract!

The wage changes and the entire contract are in effect

The Appropriations Cmte held a public hearing on Senate Resolution 12 and House Resolution 12 this morning.  Those resolutions represent our A&R Contract.  Although the committee voting is still open until 3PM today, the vote appears to be favorable on both the House side of the Appropriations

HR12 & SR12 (our Contract/SEBAC Framework) is scheduled for a public hearing in the Appropriations Cmte on Friday April 24 at 9:30.

Our contract has officially been assigned legislative resolution numbers: HR12 in the House and SR12 in the Senate. Both resolutions are required to approve the agreement between the State and SEBAC, which includes our contract as part of the broader SEBAC framework covering multiple unions.

At this time, it appears these resolutions may not reach the Appropriations Committee until late next week or possibly the following week (April 24

The Contract Ratification Vote has ended and the results are as follows: 2300 votes were cast with 2266 "Yes" votes to 28 "No" votes and 6 abstained.  This is a 98.5% Yes response with a 71% voter turnout.  Congratulations, we have ratified our contract which will run from July 1, 2025 thru June 30, 2029 and include a wage re-opener for July 1, 2028.

Since we exceeded our Zoom capacity on Tuesday, A&R will be holding a second Zoom meeting on Wednesday March 18 at noon to review our contract Tentative Agreement 

All active members are welcome to attend and ask questions.  

As this is union business, you are allowed to use your State equipment to attend the Zoom and we have cleared it with OLR that members may attend for the duration of the meeting without the need to use Vac/PL time (estimated to be about an hour).

Tuesday March 10, the A&R Representative Assembly voted to accept and recommend that our Contract Tentative Agreement go for a membership vote...so the next step is a member vote on our contract!

This will be an online vote and your voting credentials will be sent to the email we have on file for you.

The voting will open on March 18th at 12:01 AM and close on March 24th at 11:59PM.

Today, A&R mailed out a postcard to all members announcing the membership vote and indicates the email address we have on file for you;
